PT Great Giant Pineapple Conducts First ESG Capacity Building for Company Suppliers

Monday (11/11), PT Great Giant Pineapple (PT GGP) successfully implemented the first Capacity Building regarding ESG (Environment, Social Governance) for company suppliers online. ESG is an important concept used to assess company performance in implementing sustainable business and good business ethics.

PT GGP has implemented sustainable business governance for a long time. In 2023, through its umbrella brand, Great Giant Foods, the company will begin launching pillars of ESG implementation, which include “Climate Resilience,” “Regenerative Agriculture,” “Circular Economy,” and “Growing with Community.” The implementation of ESG in companies cannot be separated from the supply chain, which plays an important role in achieving sustainability goals.

This Capacity Building event is the first initiative from PT Great Giant Pineapple to provide an in-depth understanding of ESG. This is also part of efforts to implement a Responsible Supply Chain, ensuring that all goods and services used by the company are produced through ethical and sustainable business processes. Participants in this event came from various suppliers throughout Indonesia.

The event was opened by Mr. Julius Sugarjanto, PJ Sustainability SUV Division Head PT Great Giant Pineapple. Apart from being opened by management representatives, this event also invited an expert in the field of “Climate Resilience,” Mr. Arrohman, who is an environmental expert. Great Giant Foods (GGF) kembali mengukir prestasi dengan meraih penghargaan bintang lima dalam ajang bergengsi TOP Human Capital Awards (TOP HC Awards) 2024 yang diselenggarakan oleh Majalah Top Business. Acara penganugerahan tersebut digelar pada Rabu, 30 Oktober 2024 dalam sebuah Gala Dinner di Hotel Raffles Jakarta, dengan tema “Aligning the Organization to Business Growth Strategy”. Keberhasilan ini mencerminkan dedikasi GGF dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan human capital yang sejalan dengan strategi pertumbuhan bisnis perusahaan.
