GGF Holds Mental Health and Financial Health Literacy Seminar

Great Giant Foods (GGF) Lampung held a seminar on Mental Health and Financial Health held at the GGF Training Center Building, Friday (2/28/25). The seminar was held live and via webinar attended by all workers in the GGF business unit environment.

The seminar presented two competent resource persons in their fields, namely Dr. Hendra Gunawan, Sp. Kj, M.H., CH, Cht as a Psychiatrist who delivered material related to ‘Mental Health for Workers’. The first session of the seminar was held from 08.30 WIB until the lunch break at 11.30 WIB.

In the second session, a seminar related to Financial Health, was delivered by Melvin Mumpuni, MBA, CFP, QWP as a specialist in Financial Planning and Wealth Management with the theme of the seminar ‘How to Avoid and Don’t Get Back with Online Gambling’ with a seminar duration from 13.00 WIB to 16.30 WIB.

Also present at the seminar was Medic & Clinic Management Department Head Movery Ferestian. In his speech, he said that the training activity is expected to increase employee awareness and understanding of the importance of mental health, as well as encourage them to overcome mental problems proactively.

“This is not without reason, considering that mentally healthy employees tend to be more productive, motivated, and have better relationships at work. and how to manage finances well so that they can achieve financial goals and have peace of mind,” he said.

In his material, Melvin Mumpuni explained that there are several aspects of financial health, including, first, the ability to manage finances well, including making a budget, managing expenses, and saving money, this is called Financial Management.

Second Savings, namely the ability to save money well, including having enough savings to face unexpected needs, third Investment, namely the ability to invest money well, including having knowledge of various types of investments and having a clear investment plan.

And the fourth is managing debt well, including having a plan to pay off debt and not having excessive debt.

“Improving financial health can be done by making a budget, managing spending, saving money, investing money, and protecting finances by having sufficient insurance,” said Melvin.

In front of the seminar participants, Dr. Hendra Gunawam, also explained how mental health conditions characterized by feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and loss of interest in activities that are usually enjoyable can be called depressive disorders.

“Treatment for depressive disorders can be done with cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy (family therapy) and by taking antidepressant drugs, as well as making lifestyle changes by doing regular exercise, a balanced diet, and getting enough sleep,” he explained.

According to him, mental health can also be affected by excessive work pressure which can cause stress, fatigue, and other mental health disorders. In addition, an uncomfortable work environment, such as noise, pollution, or lack of lighting can also affect workers’ mental health.

“Bad relationships with coworkers or superiors can also trigger stress and mental health disorders,” he said.

Closing of BMG 2025, Sowing the Spirit of Innovation in Every GGF Business Unit

GGF Quality Month 2025 (BMG) activities in the Great Giant Foods (GGF) Lampung business unit environment, including PT Great Giant Pineapple (GGP), PT Umas Jaya Agrotama (UJA), PT Bromelain Enzhyme (BE), and PT Great Giant Livestock (GGL).

BMG activities are part of an effort to increase productivity through innovation activities and creative ideas from workers. The BMG agenda started on 10 For approximately 10 days, convention activities and judging agendas for the Creative Suggestion Contribution (SSK), Small Group Activities (AKK), Business Process Reengineering (BPR), and Six Sigma conventions were held.

The official event was closed with a GGF Quality Month seminar with the theme Reimagine Integrity, Reinvent Voice, revive Change, with resource person Heri Purnomo from Learntera Indonesia, Brain Based Teaching, which was held at the GGF Training Center Building, Thursday, (20/2/2025).

The closing ceremony was attended by Compliance Director GSK Djonny Koesoemahardjono, Compleance Jr. Manager GSK Lana, Director of HRGA Rina Faqih, Head of Processed Pine Plantation Directorate Imanudin, HRBP Area 2 Division Head Edhy Rumekso, Sn. Manager EPG1 Aldino, Sn. EPG2 Joko Susilo, Sn. Manager EPG3 Sugeng Heru, Compost Department Head Remy, and Senior Manager Banana Aris Wahyudi.

In her speech, Rina Faqih highlighted the importance of the role of workers in contributing creative ideas to support the implementation and achievement of company goals. This shows that the presence of workers at the BMG event has an awareness of participating for this company to be more advanced.

There are several things I want to convey regarding Reimagine integrity, Reivent Voice, and Revive Chance. These are good words, no matter how good the words are if they are only remembered but not acted upon then they are useless, just beautiful words.

Rina Faqih hopes that the innovation and suggestion activities obtained from the Quality Month activities can enrich knowledge and help workers in increasing productivity in their respective departments.

“Although Quality Month has ended, these innovation and improvement activities must continue and be implemented on various other occasions. This is important so that the main objective of Quality Month, which is to improve quality and productivity, can be achieved optimally,” she said.

The Quality Month activities have succeeded in attracting the attention of many business units, becoming a place to share knowledge and experience for workers, especially those under the auspices of Gunung Sewu Kencana (GSK). This Quality Month displays various innovations and creative methods of making improvements and becomes a platform for workers to exchange ideas and get new inspiration to carry out sustainable innovation.

“GGF must be careful because as the initiator of quality culture, it is starting to be displaced. From several quality activity competitions, other business units have been able to occupy first place, even though the teacher is from Lampung,” said Rina Faqih further.

What does it mean? We must not be complacent with what has been achieved. Opportunities to learn must continue to be improved. If not, it will be taken over by those who continue to consistently want to learn, he said.

With the closing of BMG 2025, it is hoped that the spirit of Quality Month will continue to have a positive impact on business units under the Great Giant Foods banner. The positive impact given to the company will return to the 23 thousand workers and their families.

GGF Closes 2025 National K3 Month Series with K3 Seminar

Great Giant Foods (GGF) Lampung held an OHS seminar to close the 2025 National OHS Month, Tuesday (18/2). The event was held at the GGF Training Center Building and was attended by management and employees from various divisions.

Present as speakers at the OHS Seminar were I Ketut Ariyadi from the Lampung Provincial Manpower Office and Riana Septiana as a Lecturer at Tulang Bawang University.

This activity is the culmination of a series of activities that have been carried out throughout the National OHS Month, with the aim of increasing awareness and joint commitment to safety and health in the work environment.

In his remarks, SHE Manager Arief Fatullah, emphasized the importance of safety in the world of work, especially for companies engaged in manufacturing.

“Safety is not just an obligation, but a shared responsibility. The company is like a home for all workers. So let’s work together to create a safe and comfortable work environment. Every incident that occurs will not only have an impact on productivity, but will also have a big effect,” he explained.

Workers must continue to build a strong safety culture in every line of the company’s business units. Every time there is an incident, we must evaluate and find out the cause and take continuous corrective action, he further requested.

Great Giant Foods (GGF) Lampung routinely commemorates the National Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Month every year. In 2025, GGF will again hold the National K3 Month which will take place on January 12 – February 12, 2025 with the theme “Strengthening Human Resource Capacity in Supporting the Implementation of the K3 Management System (SMK3) to Increase Productivity”.

During this period, GGF held various activities to increase employee awareness and participation in K3 aspects, including the Clash of Champion Competition, K3 photo and slogan competition, Safety Riding Competition, Best Performance Audit SMK3, Best Safety Performance, and Blood Donation social action.

After the entire series of activities were completed, GGF officially closed the National K3 Month series which was also combined with the awarding of awards to the winners of the K3 competition.

With the closing of the 2025 National K3 Month, GGF reiterates that occupational safety and health are not just annual programs, but are an integral part of the company culture that must be continuously maintained and improved.

PT GGP Provides Assistance to Renovate Uninhabitable Houses

PT Great Giant Pineapple (PT GGP) provides home renovation assistance for uninhabitable housing to residents of Gunung Agung Village, Terusan Nunyai District, through the Corporate Social Responsibility Social Welfare (CSR) program.

Tarwiyah, the homeowner could not hold back her tears of joy, where the house she lives in with her family which has been considered uninhabitable will soon be renovated.

The home renovation assistance funds from PT GGP were handed over by the CRD team represented by Putri Kusumawardani witnessed by local village officials, Wednesday (5/2/25).

“Alhamdulillah, we have distributed one of PT GGP’s CSR programs to help one of the residents in Gunung Agung Village, namely by carrying out a home renovation,” said Putri.

Putri hopes that this home renovation will benefit the recipients. “Actually, this is not the first time a home renovation has been carried out. The previous year, the company had also done something similar.

Gunung Agung Village Head Sukardi admitted that he was very proud to see the company’s seriousness in carrying out house renovation for community settlements that are very uninhabitable.

“We know that the criteria for uninhabitable family housing will have an impact on their nutrition, health, and the future of their children,” he said.

Visit of Muhammadiyah Vocational High School’s K3 to PT GGP

PT Great Giant Pineapple (PT GGP), Terbanggibesar, Central Lampung received a visit from Muhammadiyah Vocational School Teachers in Tumijajar, West Tulang Bawang Regency in order to benchmark the implementation of Health, Occupational Safety, and the Environment (K3LH), Wednesday (5/2/25).

A total of 10 representatives of Muhammadiyah Vocational School Teachers were received by the PT GGP Safety Health and Environment (SHE) team at the Great Giant Foods (GGF) Training Center Building. With the main agenda of introducing the implementation of K3 through waste management in the company’s production area.

In addition to getting an explanation about K3LH that has been implemented at PT GGP – GGF so far. In this case, the group of guests felt satisfied with getting a lot of knowledge conveyed by the SHE team regarding Occupational Safety where the aim is to strive for and provide a guarantee of safe and healthy working conditions to prevent accidents, disabilities and deaths as a result of work accidents.

Muhammadiyah Vocational School hopes that at another time PT GGP K3 practitioners can also provide socialization of the implementation of K3LH for students in the school environment.

Director of Exports, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Work Visit to PT GGP

PT Great Giant Pineapple (PT GGP), Terbanggibesar, Central Lampung welcomed a working visit from the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Tuesday (4/2/25).

The visit of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, represented by the Director of Export of the Ministry of Trade Andri Gilang Nugraha, was in order to improve cooperation and synergy between the government and the industrial sector.

During the visit, the group of guests were warmly received and directly reviewed the canned pineapple production process area accompanied by Cannery Manager Deni Kurniawan and Internal CRD Gregorius Aris.

On his occasion, Deni Kurniawan explained about how operational activities and innovations in processing pineapple into export-ready products and PT GGP’s efforts in supporting government programs in the fields of trade and industry.

Andri Gilang welcomed the intent and purpose of PT GGP which plays a role as a food industry sector and supports the company’s vision and mission which are in line with the government’s program in realizing and accelerating the downstreaming process of Indonesia’s natural resource sector, especially the plantation sector.

PT UJA Officially Receives Visit from Director of Akabi Kementan

PT Umas Jaya Agrotama (PT UJA), Terbangibesar, received a visit from the Director of AKABI, Director of PPHTP, Baintelkam Polri in order to monitor Cassava in Central Lampung.

In addition to holding a short meeting and dialogue around the cassava issue, the group also reviewed the tapioca production location and took samples of starch content, Saturday (1/2/25).

On that occasion, Dyah emphasized the importance of collaboration between local governments, ministries, and industry in advancing the agricultural sector, especially in maintaining the stability of cassava selling prices for farmers.

The visit was based on the turmoil among cassava farmers who complained about the selling price of cassava and the provisions on starch content which had become a polemic in Lampung. So that several parties urged the government to immediately take concrete steps to stabilize cassava prices.

“This visit is still related to finding a solution to the cassava problem. If it is not resolved immediately, it is not impossible that farmers will abandon cassava and switch to other crops. Hopefully in the near future this problem can find a middle ground,” said Dyah.

He emphasized that Lampung is a center for cassava plants. As is known, cassava is an alternative food besides rice, he added.

PT GGP Distributes Aid for the Construction of a Prayer Room in Kecubung Village

As a form of PT Great Giant Pineapple (PT GGP)’s concern for the surrounding community, through the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program, this pineapple plantation company has again shown its concern by distributing aid for the construction of the Al-Huda Mosque in Keubung Hamlet, Terbanggi besar District, Central Lampung.

The aid was handed over directly by the PT GGP CRD Team represented by Farid Alawi to the Al-Huda Mosque Management, Muad. The handover ceremony was held directly at the location of the mosque construction, Tuesday (1/22/24).

The Al-Huda Mosque Construction Management expressed their gratitude and thanks for PT GGP’s concern in helping the community. “We would like to thank PT GGP for providing aid for the construction of the mosque in Kecubung Hamlet,” said Muad.

This assistance is a form of PT GGP’s commitment in implementing the Environmental Responsibility Program with the hope that the community can feel the company’s presence in supporting the welfare of the surrounding community, said Farid.
