PT GGP Receives Award from PMI Bandar Lampung

PT Great Giant Pineapple (GGP) has once again demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility through active participation in blood donation activities initiated by PMI Lampung Province. For its contribution in donating more than 300 bags of blood during the 2023-2024 period, PT GGP received an award from the PMI Bandar Lampung Blood Donor Unit (UDD). The award was given to coincide with the PMI 79th Anniversary celebration and the Lampung Province UDD PMI Blood Donation Draw, which was held at the Ballroom of the Emersia Hotel on Tuesday (17/9).

In this event, PT GGP became one of the private companies recognized for its role in supporting the availability of blood for people in need. This blood donation activity is part of the company’s efforts to realize the values ​​of social care and solidarity between people, which have always been the main pillars of PT GGP’s CSR program.

The Governor of Lampung, in his speech, expressed his deepest appreciation to the donors and institutions involved. “We would like to thank all parties who have voluntarily donated their blood. This blood donation activity has had an extraordinary impact on society, because countless lives have been saved through this donation,” he said. Fahrizal also added that blood donation is a real manifestation of the value of social care which is really needed in social life. “A drop of donated blood is a very meaningful form of care for those in need. This is an invaluable donation, especially when the blood can save someone’s life,” he added.

During the period January to September 2024, PT Great Giant Pineapple in collaboration with PMI Bandar Lampung and PMI Lampung Tengah has succeeded in collecting 472 bags of blood through various blood donation activities held at the Central Health Clinic and the Estate Plantation Group 3 (EPG3) Health Service Post. Apart from that, PT GGP also collaborated with PMI Metro City in carrying out blood donations at the Estate Plantation Group 4 (EPG4) Health Service Post, which succeeded in collecting 129 bags of blood. Overall, PT GGP was able to donate almost 1,000 bags of blood in a one year period through various blood donation activities in several of its operational units. “This is a concrete form of our commitment to supporting the availability of blood for the community, as well as part of ongoing efforts to have a positive impact on the surrounding environment,” said Drg. Fitriah, Head of PT GGP Primary Inpatient Clinic.

The award received by PT GGP from PMI Lampung Province is a form of recognition of the company’s commitment to providing sustainable social contributions. PT GGP continues to strive to be part of the solution to social and humanitarian issues, including by involving employees in humanitarian programs such as blood donation.

Ministry of LKH Appreciates Re.juve’s Sustainability Innovation

Re.juve continues to strengthen its commitment to reducing waste and preserving the environment through innovative solutions that involve the community in recycling activities, as well as promoting sustainable lifestyles to create a healthier generation. This commitment was recognized through awards received on October 7 2024, which were given to producers who were committed to implementing Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. P.75 of 2019 concerning Waste Reduction Roadmap. PT Sewu Segar Primatama, owner of the Re.juve trademark, was recognized as one of 20 manufacturers that complied with these regulations.

The Director General of Waste, Waste and Hazardous and Toxic Materials Management (PSLB3) of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Rosa Vivien Ratnawati, said, “This award is an important step to encourage the implementation of these regulations by the manufacturing, food and beverage services and retail sectors. “In this regulation, manufacturers are required to contribute to reducing waste originating from their products or packaging, with a waste reduction target of 30%.”

Re.juve, as a company in the beverage industry, received an award because it was considered successful in exceeding this target. With its flagship program, Bring Back Your Empty Bottle (BBYEB), Re.juve invites people to return empty bottles for recycling. This program, which was launched in 2019, will continue to develop by utilizing digital technology through the Re.juve App in 2024. This application allows customers to return empty bottles and get reward points of 100 points which is equivalent to Rp. 100,-. These points can be used to exchange Re.juve products at all outlets.

Surya Adiputra, Operations Director of Re.juve, stated, “The Re.juve App application has succeeded in attracting the interest of the wider community. In collaboration with the Banksasuci Waste Bank, Re.juve ensures that all bottles received can be sorted and recycled efficiently. This initiative not only supports reducing plastic waste, but also encourages the public to participate more actively in waste management. Through this synergy, Re.juve and Banksasuci hope to create a significant positive impact on the environment and increase awareness of the importance of sustainability.
